Emilio Gil is a Graphic Designer. Founder of Tau Design in 1980, one of the Spanish companies pioneering in design services, institutional communication, and creation and development of programs of Corporate Visual Identity.
Formed in the SVA (School of Visual Arts in New York with Milton Glaser, James McMullan and Ed Benguiat as professors; and in the Central St. Martins in London in Commissioner for art exhibitions. Prize "Laus de oro" 1995 in Editorial Design, Donside Prize in Britain and "Certificate of Excellence" from the Type Directors Club of New York in 1995.
Professor of the Master's Edition of Santillana Training and the University of Salamanca and visiting lecturer of the University Carlos III and European of Madrid and Director of various summer courses of the Complutense University of Madrid at its headquarters in El Escorial (Madrid).
Commissioner of the exhibitions "Signos del siglo. 100 años de Diseño Gráfico en España" in the Reina Sofia Museum, "¿Dissenyes o Diseñas?" (Madrid, Berlin, Sofia), "24×365. Diseño Gráfico para la Comunicación pública " (Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid. 2008) and " Grafistas. Diseño gráfico en España 1939-1975" (MNAD, October 2011).
